Institute General Meeting

Today saw the gathering of the Institute's staff and volunteers to discuss our thoughts for the future in light of the recent move to the 3rd floor.

Richard St. George chaired the meeting and guided our discussions with dialogue exercises designed to faciliate and encourage productive speech, and as most of the 3rd floor was awaiting furnishing, the team made use of the empty packing crates from the move to form a working space.  Alice also joined us via Skype from Sweden, which brought a virtual and international element to the afternoon, and the interesting activity of a group of people addressing a laptop sitting in our circle on a crate of its own...

Several Open Platform participants also attended and added valuable ideas to the topics at hand, which included a run-down of the projects currently being managed and proposed by each of the team, and thoughts on future opportunities at the Institute with regard to the new developments taking place.

All in all, it was a positive group exercise to begin life in our new home with.
