Summerhill is in the beautiful Cotswold village of Minchinhampton, near Stroud in Gloucestershire, famous for its historic Common, with its wildflowers and grazing cattle.
It is a house with a large, light, airy meeting room, with comfortable seating, access to break-out spaces and a lovely garden. And most important, Institute Director Martin Sandbrook, and his wife Bud, are there to provide whatever support you need to ensure you have a successful course or meeting.
The main room is ideal for 8 to 10 people. It has all the equipment you would expect. Bud will provide refreshments, home-cooked lunch if required (described as ‘a real treat’ by a recent participant), and, if you want to get out and about, ideas for things to do in the area (especially with the wonderful Minchinhampton Common so near, for beautiful Cotswold walks, or golf amongst the cattle).
For events lasting more than one day, there is some accommodation at Summerhill, or suggestions for local Bed and Breakfast can be provided.
Martin can also arrange to collect you from Stroud station.
