“The Toolkit is a very useful course for meeting like-minded people and engaging with the issue of sustainability in a very practical and meaningful way."

Cost of the Programme

The fee for this Certificate programme in Bristol is £1,500, including the visit to Schumacher College, (see below for London), payable as an initial payment of £300 on registration and then £100 per month for the 12 months of the programme, payable by standing order.

The fee for the programme in London is £1,600, with a £400 initial payment, as a result of higher venue costs.

To discuss other ways to pay, including spreading the initial payment, please contact Martin Sandbrook.

The fee includes the cost of the visit to Schumacher College (excluding any cost of travelling there). Since the visit to the Centre for Alternative Technology is optional, the cost of this will be in addition to the fee above.

The fee does NOT include the Bath Spa University charge of £130 for accreditation. Since you may choose not to obtain the Post-graduate Certificate qualification, this fee is also charged in addition to the overall programme fee.

How to apply

The main qualification for this programme is a desire to learn. As a post-graduate level programme, a first degree of a good standard is a normal requirement. If you are an experienced person but have no first degree, it is likely that your experience and learning will be sufficient qualification and can be accredited. Please ask the programme leader, Martin Sandbrook for further information.

To apply please email Martin Sandbrook or call mobile: +44 (0) 7710 485270

Taster Sessions: to give you a chance to find out more, we offer free taster sessions in advance of the programme starting, details can be found here.  Alternatively contact Martin Sandbrook to find out about dates, and to book a place.

Accreditation

The Sustainability Toolkit is accredited at the level of a Post-graduate Certificate by Bath Spa University. This is the equivalent of 60 credits towards the 180 credits usually required for a full Masters degree. Once accredited, successful completion of the Sustainability Toolkit will also give you the option to transfer these 60 credits to the Schumacher Institute Masters in Managing Sustainability and Uncertainty, joining at the 3rd module in that programme.
